Founded in 1902, the Associazione Granaria di Milano brings together companies, including sole proprietorships, operating in the agri-food sector: farming, livestock, renewable energy production, processing and services such as brokerage, transport, insurance, financial, technological and quality control activities, promoting a regulated, transparent and efficient market.

The Associazione Granaria di Milano carries out market regulation activities by organizing and regulating weekly trading sessions and publishing official quotations of traded products, drafting standard contracts and settling disputes through the informal arbitration system.

A history spanning over a century
1902
The Associazione Granaria di Milano was founded, driven by a small group led by Cav. Enrico Torrani, with the aim of simplifying exchanges, streamlining negotiations and reducing trading costs. Its activities were initially carried out at the Mercati Square in Milan.
1932
The Association moved to its historic headquarters at Via Meravigli 11, next to the newly built Stock Exchange building, Palazzo Mezzanotte.
1982
The market relocated to the World Trade Center in Rozzano – Milano Fiori, the new Milanese business hub.
1988-2018
The Association’s headquarters moved between three different locations in Rozzano, Assago and Buccinasco.
2019
The Association returned to Milan, close to the city center, at Palazzo Affari SOGEMI in Via Cesare Lombroso 54.
Mission and Values
The Associazione Granaria di Milano operates to ensure that the trade of agri-food commodities takes place within a framework of shared rules capable of guaranteeing continuity, fairness and transparency.
Market rules represent a tool of trust between parties, fostering stable and fair business relationships.
The Market
The market takes place on a weekly basis, every Tuesday, and is reserved for participants authorized by the Association, in compliance with official regulations.

Statute and Membership
